More protests…More afterglow…We’re about to stat talking about solving problems…

Day 3 of the DNC and it’s turned into a variety show. Whoever planned this show knew there needed to be a healthy, diverse mix of comedians, musicians, actors and up and coming politicians to deliver the wattage to sway undecided voters off the fences.

The DNC wielded the blending of entertainment and reality–Actors from The West Wing, and Scandal–to fully take the battle into the brains of Americans. Presumably to get voters to visualize a reality as cool and cinematic as a hit tv show, and that they (the voters) were responsible for such a thing.

Journalists can’t stop talking about the “party” atmosphere. They have lost all sense of objectivity. Rachel Maddow gushed about the big speeches for 3 days, using words like “awe inspiring” and “incredible”. Hear that sound? That’s the sound of Walter Cronkite spinning wildly in his grave, unable to comprehend the obsequiousness.

The speeches keep hammering the same messages- going forward, not going back, Trump is the devil, he’s a mess. His America created victims of violence, the economy, insurrection. They’re trying to stoke the fire and whip up a wave of realization that we could have the first female president. They all agreed; however, that will be a lot of work to make it last for 70 days.

The trolls ramped up their nastiness. It mirrored their increasing panic. They went after Gus Walz, who has some development issues, and was seen crying when his dad gave a speech. He was bawling and yelling, “That’s my dad!” During Walz’s speech. There’s no bottom for the MAGA trolls, most notably Ann Coulter, who trended hard after ripping the younger Walz. They’ve dragged this country into the gutter and are relishing the stench.

The polls today on FiveThirtyEight.com remained largely unchanged, with Harris still holding a slim lead. Her numbers will get a bump from the convention, but the question on everybody’s mind in the United Center is this: How is Kamala going to turn that bump into a wave that historically will pull everyone forward together?
