A Tight Race…The Center gets some sunlight…Kevin McCarthy rears his ugly head…Frontotemporal Dementia…
The NYTimes.com has declared this race “very tight”. According to 538, Trump is polling ahead of Harris 48% to 47% on several polls. When they factored in Kennedy, the race was dead even at 44% of the vote. For some reason, polls in key battlegrounds are scarce, for whatever reason. Maybe they don’t want to know. Or maybe they’re setting the stage of misinformation for another “steal”. I would think that if Trump was going gangbusters in these states, they’d ramming it down our throats. But since they’re not, it looks like he’s sliding.
Activote showed an interesting stat. Their political spectrum approval ratings for Harris among left, moderate left, center, moderate right and right voters show a disapproval rating of 70% down the center. When most of what gets reported are the extremes of everything, it’s hard to figure out what is the truth and what is sensationalism. Does disapproval mean these centrists won’t vote for Harris?
Over on X, Kevin McMarthy is trending for pandering again to the Jesus freaks. On Fox News he warned that if “Kamala Harris gets elected, you won’t be able to say ‘merry Christmas’ anymore.” The answers about how and who will enforce this are unclear. The Grinch maybe?
